Boston, MA – Citi Performing Arts Center, The Madison Square Garden Company, and Larry Magid Entertainment Group announced today that legendary musical icon Charles Aznavour will take the Wang Theatre stage on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at 8:00PM. Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, August 12, 2016 at 10:00AM.
Over the course of his unprecedented eight-decade career, Aznavour has performed countless shows across the globe, while writing and recording over 1,200 songs in eight languages, and selling more than 180 million records worldwide. In 1998, he was named “Entertainer of the Century” by CNN and Time online. Renowned for some of his most famous hits, including “La Boheme,” “Yesterday, When I Was Young,” and classics like “La Mamma” and “What Makes a Man,” Aznavour is a Songwriter Hall of Fame inductee and recipient of the MIDEM Lifetime Achievement Award. He is a singer, songwriter, entertainer, actor, author, and humanitarian, and he has performed for presidents, popes, and royalty, along with some of the most famous entertainers of all time, including Edith Piaf, Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, Placido Domingo, Andrea Bocelli, Sting, Celine Dion, Josh Groban, Youssou N’Dour, and Bob Dylan.
