Spring 2018 ArtWeek Applications Now Available

Artists, organizations, venues across the state invited to create a unique event for ArtWeek

Boston, MA (November 8, 2017) Presented by Highland Street Foundation and produced by the Boch Center, ArtWeek is now seeking applications for its Spring 2018 festival. For the first time, events will be held statewide from April 27 – May 6, 2018, and applications can be found at artweekma.org. The early bird deadline to submit an ArtWeek event is January 8; the final deadline is February 28. Hundreds of creative events are expected to be featured throughout the Commonwealth’s six regions:  Greater Boston, North of Boston, South of Boston, Cape & Islands, Central Massachusetts and Western Massachusetts.

ArtWeek is an award-winning innovative festival featuring hundreds of unique and creative experiences that are hands-on, interactive or offer behind-the-scenes access to arts, culture, and the creative process. Now an annual statewide festival, ArtWeek was launched in Boston in 2013 and recently expanded its footprint across the Commonwealth.  Expedia, USA Today and Forbes have recognized ArtWeek as a travel destination event, and with applications now accepted statewide, it promises to be an even more exciting festival.

This year, Mass Cultural Council and the Massachusetts Office of Travel & Tourism have joined ArtWeek as Lead Champions in this unique opportunity to shine a spotlight on the state’s creative economy. Additionally, almost 30 statewide, regional and local partners have already committed to helping to grow and expand this innovative festival that invites curious minds to experience arts, culture, and creativity in new ways.
