After a restful break, the Citi Center Education Department is back in action. Both the Target Arts and City Spotlights Spoken Word Projects kicked off this week in schools in Dorchester and Roxbury and Dudley Branch Library, respectively. This session Target Arts will focus on a performance curriculum surrounding the upcoming Addams Family Musical, and the “No Snap Judgments Program.” In addition, local performer and Boston Public School teacher Lisa Bello will perform songs for Target Arts participants follow the “No Snap Judgments” theme. City Spotlights Spoken Word Project returns to the Dudley Branch Library where students ages 11-19 develop storytelling, spoken word, and performing arts skills while intertwining hip-hop culture. Youth will work towards an exciting final performance in the style of a poetry slam.
