These seats have an obstructed view - there is a pole in the sightline. The single seat in the Orchestra is behind a very large pole and is the most obstructed. The seats in the Balcony are in pairs and are located behind a small pole and therefore offer a slightly less obstructed view.

No cellphones, cameras or recording devices will be allowed at this show.
Upon arrival, all phones and smart watches will be secured in Yondr pouches that will be unlocked at the end of the show. Guests maintain possession of their phones throughout the night, and if needed, may access their phones at designated Yondr unlocking stations in the lobby. All guests are encouraged to print their tickets in advance to ensure a smooth entry process. Anyone caught with a cellphone in the venue will be immediately ejected. We appreciate your cooperation in creating a phone-free viewing experience.

About the Show

Comedian Hannah Gadsby will bring her show Douglas to the Boch Center Shubert Theatre stage as part of her first ever US tour, June 19 & 20.

Tasmania’s own Hannah Gadsby has come to the world’s attention through her multi-award winning stand up show Nanette, which played to sold out houses across Australia, London, Edinburgh, New York and Los Angeles before launching on Netflix in June as the first Australian Netflix Original Comedy Special and stopping the comedy world in its tracks. The overnight success of Hannah Gadsby was more than ten years in the making, with her award winning stand up shows a sellout fixture in festivals across Australia and the UK.

Who is Douglas? Well, apparently, Hannah Gadsby thinks he is the only one who can help her follow up on the trail blazed by her last show: Nanette. Hannah is all set to take the mysterious Douglas for a trot around America for her first ever US tour.
