Boston, MA (November 15, 2018) – The Boch Center announced that Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt will perform an acoustic show at the Boch Center Shubert Theatre on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at 8:00PM. The performance is part of the Boch Center’s Folk & Americana Music Series initiative. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, November 16 at 10:00AM.
A singer, composer and actor, Lyle Lovett has broadened the definition of American music in a career that spans 14 albums. Coupled with his gift for storytelling, the Texas-based musician fuses elements of country, swing, jazz, folk, gospel and blues in a convention-defying manner that breaks down barriers.
Since his 1974 album debut, rarely has more than a year or two passed without a new John Hiatt collection hitting the shelves. Hiatt adds when discussing his latest album, The Eclipse Sessions, “You know how writing goes for me, I get a couple of lines going, and then I just tag along as the songs start to reveal themselves.” John Hiatt remains one of America’s most respected and influential singer-songwriters. Hiatt’s songs have been covered by artists as diverse as Bob Dylan, Bonnie Raitt, Emmylou Harris, Iggy Pop and Rosanne Cash.
