Citi Center Goes Center Court

Last week, Citi Performing Arts Center stood at center court at the Celtics game to receive a gift from community partner, the Shamrock Foundation. Board members and arts education advocates Esta Epstein and Beth Nichols were on hand with Chief of Staff Sue Dahling Sullivan to accept the gift in support Citi Center’s arts education programs.

Among those cheering in the stands for the presentation and the game, were 20 youth participants from our Exploring Hip Hop program at the Blue Hill Boys & Girls Club. The game celebrated the close of the program, which culminated in a final performance for family and friends on Monday evening (see photos here).

The Boston Celtics Shamrock Foundation also recognized our very own Eric Neill, Director of Theater Operations, as a Hero Among Us (something Citi Performing Arts Center has known for years!). Eric is a vital member of the Citi Center team, making the safety and security of every single person—from patron to employee to performer—who enters our theatres his priority. Eric was honored at the game in front of his family and an arena full of fans.
