On February 22, over 900 audience members and participants gathered at Emmanuel College Jean Yawkey Center for Boston Centers for Youth and Families (BCYF) annual Boston Rock It event. Organizations from throughout the city previewed their summer programs and encouraged youth to sign up and be active over the summer.

In the cheering section for these youth performances were celebrity guests--Captains and flight attendants from sponsor Jet Blue, Wally the Green Monster, Slyde from the Revolution soccer team, and members of Boston's Police Department.

Citi Performing Arts Center Education Department joined forces with:

BCYF Jackson/Mann Community Center, Allston

BCYF Mildred Ave. Community Center, Mattapan

BCYF Nazzaro Community Center, North End

To perform an original flashmob choreographed by teaching artist Lindsey McWhorter. After only 1 week, the youth looked like pros. We hope to see more of them in coming programs. View their flash mob performance here.
