  • Auditions are closed for the 2019-2020 school year. Next auditions will take place next fall and to keep an eye out for this year’s 2020 final showcase.

    Who can participate in Teen Council?
    Teen Leaders must be at least age 15 by the start of the program and cannot turn age 19 by the end of the program. All applicants are required to live in the city of Boston in order to participate.

    When does Teen Council start and end?
    Teen Leadership Council Begins November 11th, 2019 and ends April 24th, 2020.

    Where does Teen Council meet?
    Teen Council meets three times a week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays) from 4:00 - 6:30 pm at the Boch Center. Rehearsals are mandatory. Teen Council will also participate in or plan events on some weekday evenings or weekends.

    What does Teen Council do?
    Teens will create original performance pieces, facilitate workshops, promote social change through advocacy, and volunteer in the community. They will have the opportunity to work with children, local organizations, and creative professionals to celebrate and strengthen their neighborhoods through the arts.

    Is Teen Council a paid opportunity?
    Teen Leaders will be paid minimum wage for up to 10 hours per week.
