Teen Leadership Council Employment Program
Applications are now open for the 2026-2027 Teen Leadership Council!
The City Spotlights Teen Leadership Council is a school-year youth employment program that provides 15+ Boston teens with paid opportunities to serve as artistic leaders and community advocates, many of whom have had little or no prior access to careers in the arts.
Through the program, Teen Leaders strengthen their facilitation and job-readiness skills, engage Boston residents in meaningful conversations around social justice, and develop the tools to become change agents in their communities.
Teen Leaders work with children, local organizations, creative professionals, and college students to explore social justice issues through community advocacy performances and workshops that they help create and lead.
At the end of the school year, many Teen Leadership Council members continue into paid summer positions through the City Spotlights Leadership Program, creating a year-long pathway for growth and opportunity.
