City Spotlights Staff Blog | Week 1 | Anthony (Nini) Montas

First week back in the theatre and I couldn’t be happier. This week is a bootcamp where we lead the teens through a series of workshops and activities to help them not only get more familiar with the tough topics around social media but also learn more about each other. It’s been wonderful witnessing the amount of growth that has happened for these teens in just this past week. On Thursday, the teen leaders collectively voted on their theme of Racism and its impact on the community. They are already hard at work creating beautiful performances that showcase the intersectionality involved in this issue. They have also been working towards their state house presentation on July 15th. The teens are eager to present their address to the issues they see and the possible solutions that could aid it. I cannot wait to see how things continue to develop now that workshop development is underway.
