Wow! What a fantastic second week! It’s always such a memorable experience to see our teens go to the State House and put on a great advocacy presentation. This year was really special because I had a custom instrumental built around their song “Sprout.” I felt like it was important for them to learn first hand that the possibilities are endless, that things can be created from whatever comes out of their mind. Racism is always a difficult topic and watching music specialty tackle it from the angle of how racism impacts them and the people around them emotionally was inspiring. Even with the last-minute changes they still pivoted and persevered in a way that is remarkable and admirable. I’m excited to see what we do for flash mob, workshops and final showcase! Cheers to summer 2026.
