From being placed in groups with other teens they may not have interacted with before to seeing the bond and friendship develop, it’s been such an exciting couple of weeks seeing the teens getting ready to become leaders of their very own workshops. As someone who’s been in the position as a teen leader not that long ago (literally a year ago) it felt very eye-opening to see the other side of the wall and what goes into supporting the teens' needs to create a successful workshop

From the first week of workshop development, it was exciting to see the many personalities shine through in each group as they tackled the challenge of creating a unique workshop that addresses the theme of racism and their subtopics. Now, in the last few days of workshop development, and seeing how far they came from just writing down their group name on a poster board to a 3-4 page script of the full workshop. I’m so excited to see them go into the community and become leaders during workshop tours.
